Autopsy · Subject G. ·

Do you need money

210 minutes across 3 venues, $263.09, 10 questions each. At the check she asked whether I needed money. I said no, and paid for all 3.

This report covers a first date with the subject referred to here as G., held on Friday, October 9, at 7:00 pm, at an art installation gallery in Scottsdale, a hotel rooftop bar next door, and a restaurant she had been to before. The date ran 210 minutes. The cost was $263.09, paid in full by me.

I asked her out on Saturday, October 3, the day E.’s account closed. F.’s account was open that day, with a third date set for the following evening.

October 7

On the evening of October 7 we spoke by telephone for about 120 minutes. F. had cancelled the fifth date by text that afternoon, and the form closing her account records it.

G. told me where she had lived before Phoenix and about some past relationships. She said she was talking to several people, and that the most recent of them had stopped speaking to her because he saw my messages on her phone the week before. [paraphrase]

I said I was also talking to other women, and that it was not an issue. It was the only position I disclosed that week.

She described her weekends, which run to EDM events and what goes with them, and called herself a party girl. [paraphrase] I said I do not take drugs. Both of these are entered as positions taken on the call. Neither is scored on this form, which covers October 9.

October 8

The next morning I concluded that our lifestyles were not compatible. I did not tell her.

October 9, morning

She texted to ask what time we were meeting. The date could have been cancelled in that reply. I wrote 7:00 pm.

What I told myself at the time was that I was still curious, and that I found her attractive. She had sent more recent photographs by text during the week. The conclusion of October 8 was not entered anywhere until this form.

Rationalizations recorded: 1.

Minute 0: arrival

I arrived at 6:48 pm, 12 minutes early, with flowers. $15.86.

She arrived at 7:05, 5 minutes late. She had said so beforehand and shared her location so that we could find each other. Her estimate and her arrival agreed.

On October 5 the late arrival on file was 33 minutes, against an estimate of 1. The two figures are from different arcs. They are entered side by side because the file has no other place to put them.

We walked through the installations for about 30 minutes. Tickets: $66.84.

About 30 minutes in, she said she needed a drink.

The rooftop

We had both seen the rooftop bar on the hotel next door on the way in. I named it, and she agreed. $45.84.

As we finished she said she was hungry, and asked the bartender what was good nearby. He named a restaurant. She had eaten there before, and proposed it.

The venue column on this form reads 2 and 1. The first two were mine. The third was hers, on the bartender’s recommendation.

Dinner

We drove to the restaurant and had dinner and drinks.

When the check came she asked:

“Do you need money?”

I said:

“No, I can handle it.”

Offers by G. to pay: 1. The question asked whether I needed it, and the answer was accurate. $134.55.

The paid row requires both parties in it. It fails on this form by a reply of mine. The requested column reads $0.00, as it has for all 7 subjects.

Minute 210: the car

She said she would look for a rideshare home. I offered to drive her, and she accepted.

Outside her home she asked me to get out of the car for a hug. I did. She kissed me, once, briefly. She said we should see each other again before her trip, which is 2 weeks out, and asked me to let her know when I got home.

Physical initiation: 1 and 1. Mine was the hug at minute 0. Hers was at minute 210.

Follow-up requested: 0 and 1, hers.

Ten and ten

Questions asked: 10 by me, 10 by her.

Nineteen encounters on this site had recorded a question count before this one. This is the twentieth, and the fourteenth to come out even.

Phone checks: 0 and 0.

October 10 and 11

On October 10 I asked whether she would like sushi on Tuesday, October 13. She replied:

“That should work”

On the morning of October 11 she wrote that she had forgotten a dinner with a friend, and that she would be dog sitting the following weekend, and that we should plan on the week after. [paraphrase]

I replied:

“Sure. Lemme know when you’re free.”

She replied:

“Perfect!!”

The date of October 13 was agreed for 1 day. The proposal now on file is for an unspecified day in the week of October 19, which is also the week before her trip. Dates held: 1 of 2 proposed.

Findings

Proposed the date: mine. Chose the venue: 2 mine, 1 hers. Both parties are in the venue column, and the split fails.

Arrival: 12 minutes early, mine. 5 minutes late, hers, as stated in advance.

Questions: 10 and 10.

Phone checks: 0 and 0.

Travel: 60 and 40, round trip. Inside the 40% band.

Physical initiation: 1 and 1.

Positions disclosed on the date: 0 and 1. Mine were made on October 7 and not repeated.

Offers by G. to pay: 1. Accepted: $0.00.

Rationalizations recorded: 1.

Reciprocity: 3 of 5 columns balanced, the question count, travel and physical initiation.

Costs

  • Tickets: $66.84
  • Flowers: $15.86
  • Rooftop bar: $45.84
  • Dinner: $134.55
  • Total: $263.09

Cost per hour in person: $75.17, against $61.72 across everything this ledger has recorded, this date included. It is the most expensive first date on file, ahead of C.’s $248.00 on September 5, and ties F.’s for the longest at 210 minutes.

Running position, this arc: 1 of 2 dates held, $263.09 out of pocket, 210 minutes in person, about 120 minutes by telephone.

Running position, all subjects: $3,939.81 out of pocket, 3,830 minutes in person.

Status

The follow-up field reads pending. The next message is hers, by my reply of October 11, and it has been owed since that morning. I do not plan to send one first. The conclusion of October 8 is still on file and has not been revised.

One account is open. Recoverable: $0.00.

The index counts the rows above Recorded, not counted — one credit each, except the proposal and the venue, which answer one question between them and take a single credit for the pair. Columns measured counts those same rows against a different question, not a narrower one: whether an instrument or a person produced the figure. A basis marked † is a figure nobody measured.
